It’s more suitable for athletes who are doing a cutting cycle and, due to its energy-providing capabilities, doubles as a pre-workout supplement.
The usage guidelines tell you to take Lipodrol before workouts. That should tell you all you need to know. If all you are looking for is a supplement to help you to lose weight, you would be better off using a good general weight loss aid like Phen24 instead.

I’d never even heard of this supplement or the company that makes it until someone contacted me and asked for a review. All that “Benchmark” baloney is just marketing spiel. Take it with a pinch of salt.
Lipodrol doesn’t present a lot of competition to any of the best fat burning sports supplements but it does have value as a fat burner because it contains ingredients that can increase thermogenesis and metabolism.
Thermogenesis is a biological process. It’s happening within your body 24 hours a day. It’s a process that helps maintain body temperature by generating heat.
Thermogenic fat burners increase thermogenesis, causing your body to become slightly warmer and lose extra calories of energy as heat. Essentially, when this happens, it increases your metabolism.
When metabolism gets faster, due to increases in thermogenesis or any other reason, your body requires more energy and begins burning extra calories. If you are following a good fat loss diet, your body won’t be able to get enough energy from food and will have to begin burning its stores of fat for energy instead.
Lipodrol’s ability to increase energy is mostly due to caffeine. It’s a central nervous system stimulant that invigorates the body and improves mental focus.

The capsule casing is made from hypromellose instead of gelatin but Lipodrol is manufactured in a facility that also processes whey protein. For this reason, vegan certification regulations state it cannot be considered vegan. However, many vegetarians are likely to find this acceptable.
Lipodrol Fat Burner Ingredient Potential
Lipodrol Fat Burner is certainly a little different from most other fat burners. It contains some very unusual ingredients. It also lacks any of the top proven fat burners such as capsicum and green tea.
Devil’s Horsewhip (200mg)
Devils horsewhip is a plant that is known by several names including chaff flower and prickly chaff flower. Its botanical name is Achyranthes Aspera. It’s an invasive species that can be found all over the world and, due to its nuisance value, is generally considered a weed.
In some countries, devil’s horsewhip is used in traditional medicine. In India, for instance, the leaves are sometimes pulped and used as a poultice to draw out scorpion venom.
Muscle Rage makes several claims regarding this ingredient including appetite suppression, enhanced metabolism, improvements in thyroid function, and carb blocking.
I checked all of the best research sites and was unable to find much to support using this ingredient to provide fat loss support.
It’s possible there may be research somewhere that supports the claims Muscle Rage is making but if it’s so hard to find it does not suggest a wealth of evidence.
I found one study that suggests Achyranthes Aspera (Devil’s Horsewhip) may help prevent obesity by reducing the accumulation of excess body fat, but it was conducted with mice, not people. And it’s just one study.
More worryingly, I found another mouse-based study that suggests this ingredient may work as an anti-fertility treatment.
Caffeine Anhydrous (100 mg)
Caffeine is the most common stimulant in the world. You can take advantage of its ability to boost energy, reduce fatigue, and increase mental focus by drinking a cup of coffee. Another option is to drink a caffeinated energy drink.
Caffeine is also a key ingredient in all manner of supplements including diet pills, pre-workout, and nootropic brain-boosting pills.
Most supplements include it as caffeine anhydrous, as is the case here.
Caffeine anhydrous is a high-potency ingredient. The body absorbs it quickly and easily.
In addition to its other abilities, caffeine is also a proven fat burner. It works by increasing thermogenesis and metabolism.
One hundred milligrams is not an overly high dose. You’d get roughly the same amount by drinking a cup of coffee.
However, caffeine anhydrous isn’t the only stimulant in Lipodrol Fat Burner. It also provides an extra dose of caffeine as Infinergy.
Infinergy (100 mg)
Infinergy is a patented ingredient that’s also known as Di-Caffeine Malate. It’s 75% caffeine and 25% malic acid.
This special bonding allegedly enhances the benefits of caffeine while also helping it be gentler on the stomach and less likely to cause other side effects.
Although Infinergy is reputed to be milder than standard caffeine and is often touted as being superior, it’s hard to find any solid scientific evidence to prove that this is true.
However, the inclusion rate here is 100 mg. That’s going to add an extra 75 mg of caffeine to the formulation. Add that to the caffeine anhydrous and you have 175 mg. Most people should be okay with that. A lot of supplements provide more.
Unless you normally have a problem tolerating stimulants the overall caffeine content in Lipodrol is probably going to provide benefits not problems.
Paradoxine (60 mg)
Paradoxine is a patented version of grains of paradise. It’s a seed extract that comes from the plant Aframomum melegueta. It’s a member of the ginger family.
This ingredient requires a lot more study but early research is promising.
The results of a study, involving a group of 19 men (aged 20-32) show the ingredient was effective for reducing body fat.
According to the researchers, grains of paradise was able to do this by activating brown adipose tissue (BAT). In simple speak, that’s brown fat. Most of the fat in your body is white adipose tissue (WAT).
Although this is kind of a strange concept to deal with, BAT is a fat burning fat. This is a proven fact but grains of paradise is not a particular popular fat burning ingredient.
Lean GBB (50 mg)
Lean GBB is a trademarked form of Gamma Butyrobetaine. This compound occurs naturally within the body. It’s a precursor to the amino acid L-carnitine, which is a more popular supplement ingredient.
When you take Gamma Butyrobetaine in supplements, it provides a significant boost to your levels of L-carnitine. This can result in various benefits including improvements in cognitive function, faster muscle recovery, and increases in fat loss.
Supplements that use this ingredient typically provide 10-50 mg of it per day. Lean GBB provides 50 mg, so it has the potential to be beneficial.
However, because Lean GBB is likely to deliver a considerable increase in L-carnitine, it may cause stomach upsets, diarrhoea, and seizure. There’s also a possibility it may cause your bodily fluids to begin producing fishy odours.
Deng Zao Cao (50 mg)
Deng Zao Cao is a Chinese medicinal herb. This is the first time I’ve encountered it in a supplement that aims to support fat loss and it’s unlikely to offer any value in that role.
However, Deng Zao Cao could mislead people into believing the supplement is more effective than it is because it’s a diuretic.
Diuretics reduce the amount of water you retain in your body. You know they are working when you suddenly find you are peeing more than normal.
Diuretics may add value to cutting formulations because their ability to reduce water retention in the tissues around the muscles can help enhance definition.
The problem is, less water in the body, means less weight. People who are using fat burners that contain diuretics often mistake rapid weight loss for rapid fat loss.
N-Coumaroylopamine (10 mg)
N-Coumaroylopamine is a cocoa seed extract. Muscle Rage makes several claims for this ingredient’s ability to increase lipolysis and fat loss. It even likens it to clenbuterol and ephedrine. However, although lots of supplement manufacturers and supplement stores make the ingredient sound good; when you go looking for clinical proof to support the claims it’s like looking for a needle in a haystack.
Bioperine (5 mg)
Bioperine is a black pepper extract. Like other black pepper extracts, it provides piperine. The big difference is, standard black pepper extracts are generally only 7% piperine. Bioperine is standardized to be at least 95%.
Piperine is the alkaloid that gives the pepper its smell. Bioperine and other sources of piperine are commonly added to supplements because the alkaloid improves the absorption of other ingredients.
3,5 Diodothyronine (200 mcg)
3,5 Diodothyronine is a novel thyroid hormone metabolite. Scientists have been researching its value for more than 30 years and, after all those years of study… experts say they need to study it some more.

How to Use Lipodrol Fat Burner
New users are advised to take no more than one Lipodrol capsule per day. This will allow them to assess the way they respond to the formulation and lessen the side effects should any occur.

Lipodrol Fat Burner – The name says it all. First and foremost this is a supplement that’s meant to help you to burn extra fat.
It’s also a supplement that’s aimed at athletic individuals who like to train and the combination of caffeine and Infinergy should be capable of providing a reasonable energy boost. Will it be great enough to allow Lipodrol to function okay as a pre-workout supplement? Possibly. It will depend on how accustomed you are to stimulants.
Caffeine is a proven metabolism booster, so Lipodrol should be capable of increasing fat loss to some degree. Paradoxine and Lean GBB may help the formulation deliver further fat loss but there are better natural fat burners Raw Energy could have used instead, such as capsicum and green tea.
Lipodrol Fat Burner also has some more dubious inclusions. Deng Zao Cao is one of them. It’s only likely to cause you to lose water. This will make your body lighter but for all the wrong reasons. However, it may aid muscle definition and enhance vascularity.
As for Devil’s Horsewhip, N-Coumaroylopamine and 3,5 Diodothyronine, in my opinion, they are a waste of time. They are unlikely to add anything of value to the mix.
Devil’s Horsewhip is a particularly unsavoury addition. Who wants to use a fat burner that contains an ingredient that may cause sterility? Of course, the ingredient requires further research. Future studies may reveal there is nothing to worry about. Personally, I would not let this ingredient into my body without seeing plenty of solid clinical evidence that proves that it is safe.
The bottom line is, I cannot recommend Lipodrol Fat Burner. However, I can recommend a good supplement you could use instead. It’s called Phentaslim.
