The name says it all. OstroVit Fat Burner for Women is a female fat burner. It’s distributed by OstroVit Technology of Nutrition. The company is based in Zambrów, Poland, and markets a diverse range of health and wellness products.
OstroVit is a legitimate company. Its products are available all over Europe. Many online stores sell OstroVit supplements and it’s also possible to buy them directly from the manufacturer’s website.
Unfortunately, a lot of European online supplement stores and pharmacies tend to bump up the prices. When you buy OstroVit supplements directly from the company website, they are surprisingly cheap. The big problem is the postage costs. They are often higher than the cost of the supplements.
OstroVit Fat Burner for Women is a capsule-type diet pill that won’t be suitable for vegans or vegetarians because there is gelatin in the capsule shell.
The capsule casing is red but, although it looks very striking, the dyes that provide the color may be unacceptable to some people.
The sales page on the official website points out three of the colors (allura AC red, cochineal red A, and quinoline yellow) “may have a detrimental effect on activity and attention in children.”
The capsule casing also contains titanium dioxide. Although the safety bodies in many countries do not forbid its use, the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) has concerns about the ingredient’s genotoxicity and ability to accumulate in the body. I have an article that provides further information about this elsewhere on this site: The “Other” Ingredients in Diet Pills.
Although the formulation is not as good as that of certain other female fat burners, OstroVit Fat Burner for Women provides a couple of proven metabolism boosters. One of them is caffeine.
Caffeine is a useful ingredient that’s present in many diet pills but its presence will make OstroVit Fat Burner for Women unsuitable for people who do not tolerate stimulants well.
Caffeine is actually a poor fit for a diet pill that’s aimed at women because research shows it can alter estrogen levels.
The research, which was published in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition, shows drinking 200 mg or more of caffeine per day elevated estrogen levels in Asian and African-American women.
Strangely, the same dose lowered estrogen in white females. OstroVit Fat Burner for Women provides slightly more than 200 mg of caffeine per dose (via three sources).
In this review, I’m going to look at all the pros and cons of using OstroVit Fat Burner for Women to help you decide if it’s a weight loss product you wish to use. I’m also going to suggest a better alternative that is caffeine-free and works with female hormones instead of against them.
OstroVit Fat Burner for Women: What to Expect
The manufacturer promises several key benefits:
- Special formula for women
- The perfect product for every athlete
- May help fight cravings for high-calorie snacks
- Stimulates metabolism
- Supports fat burning processes
- Helps you to lose unnecessary kilos
- Provides energy
- Has anti-inflammatory properties
- Free from capsaicin and piperine
It’s difficult to understand why OstroVit appears to see the lack of capsaicin and piperine as a good thing.
Capsaicin is a compound present in capsicum peppers. Research proves it supports weight loss by suppressing hunger and boosting metabolism. It’s one of the best natural fat burners in the world.
Piperine is a good ingredient too. It increases the bioavailability of other ingredients, helping you to absorb them more easily.
In all my years as a diet pill reviewer, I’ve never known anyone to consider these ingredients unfavorable. I’m flabbergasted.
How Does OstroVit Fat Burner for Women Work (For Weight Loss)?
OstroVit Fat Burner for Women is primarily a fat burner. As with similar products, it contains ingredients that speed up metabolism. By doing so it aims to help you to burn more calories per day than you normally do – even when you are at rest.
OstroVit Fat Burner for Women also has ingredients that can control cravings. However, the formulation does not contain any powerful appetite suppressants, so it’s unlikely to prevent normal hunger.
Genuine hunger is a little different from cravings. Hunger happens in response to an empty stomach or a stomach that is not sufficiently filled. It’s the body’s way of encouraging you to eat.
However, cravings often happen after a meal, when the stomach is full. This is due to fluctuations in insulin and blood sugar.
After eating a meal or a high-calorie snack, your blood sugar level may rise rapidly and become too high. The body does not like this, so it tells the pancreas to release insulin to bring your blood sugar level down.
Unfortunately, insulin may make your blood sugar drop so far it becomes lower than it was before you ate. The body does not like this situation either so it causes you to have cravings for sugar and carbs because foods of this nature can bring your blood sugar level back up fast.
Cravings like these can cause you to consume calories you do not need, causing you to store extra fat and gain weight.
It’s good that OstroVit Fat Burner for Women contains ingredients to control cravings. However, it would be even better if it could control hunger too. Hunger is a powerful sensation. It’s hard to fight it. That’s why so many diets fail.
To make matters worse, research shows women find it particularly hard to fight their hunger.

A good female fat burner needs to be able to tackle this issue. OstroVit Fat Burner for Women cannot. Like a lot of other supplements that are allegedly designed for women, it does not appear to be fit for purpose.
Things to Bear in Mind
Like other weight management products, OstroVit Fat Burner for Women is a supplement. It’s important to understand what a supplement is and never to see any form of supplement as a magic pill.
The word “supplement” refers to something you get or use in addition to something else. For instance, Some people work two jobs to “supplement” their income.
Diet pills and other weight loss supplements, supplement the efforts you are already making by controlling your diet.
In this case, it’s important not to see OstroVit Fat Burner for Women as a product that provides an excuse not to try and eat healthy foods. The pills will work best if you use them alongside a healthy diet that contains nutritious foods that are low in fat and sugar.
OstroVit Fat Burner for Women: List of Ingredients
Each 2-capsule serving provides:
Green Tea Leaf Extract
African Mango Seed Extract DER 10:1
Ginger Root Extract
Green Coffee Bean Extract
What the Ingredients Do
OstroVit Fat Burner for Women contains eight active ingredients and OstroVit isn’t hiding the inclusion rates in any proprietary blends. It declares all the quantities involved. That’s great to see. A lot of manufacturers go the other way. It’s a good way to skimp on important ingredients and/or bulk up products with cheaper ingredients that offer little or no benefits.
Most of the ingredient quantities in OstroVit Fat Burner for Women are okay. Even though it’s a cheap diet pill to buy, OstroVit hasn’t been obviously stingy just to keep their production costs down.
Now, let’s look at the eight ingredients one by one.
L-Carnitine Tartrate (500 mg)
L-carnitine tartrate provides L-carnitine. It’s an amino acid-like chemical.
L-carnitine is not one of the more popular diet pill ingredients but it’s not without value because it helps carry fatty acids to the mitochondria.
I’m going to avoid getting too technical, but the mitochondria generate energy within the cells. When the fat arrives, the mitochondria burn it for energy.
(Further Reading; https://www.genome.gov/genetics-glossary/Mitochondria)
However, although L-carnitine may support increases in weight loss, scientific opinion is mixed. It probably offers more value in pre-workout supplements and, not surprisingly, many of them contain it.
Several ingredients provide L-carnitine but the tartrate form has the advantage of being easiest to absorb.
Unfortunately, 500 mg is probably not enough. Good results may require at least double the amount.
(Further Reading: (https://www.healthline.com/nutrition/l-carnitine#dosage)
L-Tyrosine (200 mg)
L-tyrosine is an amino acid that’s present in many supplements. Especially ones for boosting muscle growth and training capabilities.
It may offer some value here but I can think of several more useful alternatives such as glucomannan (powerful appetite suppressant), and capsicum (appetite suppressant and fat burner).
Green Tea Leaf Extract (200 mg)
I can’t fault this ingredient. Green tea is one of the most popular diet pill ingredients in the world. And not without good reason. There’s a mountain of evidence that proves its ability to deliver results.
The dose is okay too. Admittedly, many fat burners provide a lot more but there are also plenty that contain much less.
Green tea boosts metabolism and also increases thermogenesis, causing the body to lose extra calories as heat. This ability is generally attributed to antioxidants called green tea catechins and particularly to EGCG (epigallocatechin gallate).
However green tea also contains a small amount of caffeine. It can do both these things too but research available in The American Journal of Clinical Nutrition shows, green tea’s ability to increase thermogenesis and fat loss is greater than caffeine could provide alone.
Caffeine Anhydrous (200 mg)
Caffeine boosts metabolism and thermogenesis. I’ve already explained this though. There’s little point in going over old ground but here’s a link to a study that supports using caffeine as a fat burner and shows 200 mg is an effective dose: https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/2333832/
Caffeine also boosts mental focus and concentration. It’s good for increasing energy as well so diet pills with caffeine in them can be good for keeping your head clear and warding off diet-related fatigue.
However, as already mentioned earlier in this review, caffeine can interfere with estrogen. That’s not to say all women should avoid it but it’s important to be aware the association is there.
Two hundred milligrams is not a super-high dose but it may be too much for some women. How well you get along with this product will depend on your personal caffeine tolerance. If you can drink two cups of standard coffee back to back or knock back a triple espresso, you should be okay with the amount of caffeine in OstroVit Fat Burner for Women because it’s more or less the same.
Nevertheless, if you begin feeling anxious, or get the jitters, headaches, nausea, or other side effects that can be attributable to caffeine, OstroVit Fat Burner for Women won’t be the right fat burner to use.
African Mango Seed Extract DER 10:1 (100 mg)
African mango allegedly supports weight loss by suppressing appetite and boosting metabolism. The ingredient has produced reasonable weight loss results in some studies but they were funded by supplement companies.
Although the ingredient may have value, there’s a need for further study. Despite the claims some manufacturers make for African mango, it’s not an ingredient in any of the top weight loss products. There’s probably a good reason for that
(Further Reading: (https://www.webmd.com/diet/obesity/features/african-mango-supplements#)
I’m not sure what “DER” relates to. I’ve never come across it before and OstroVit fails to explain. However, the two numbers separated by a colon probably indicated a high-strength concentrate that has 10 times the potency of standard extracts.
Ginger Root Extract (90 mg)
OstroVit claims to be using ginger to support digestion, boost immunity, and fight free radical toxins. It should be able to do all these things. (https://www.medicalnewstoday.com/articles/265990)
Green Coffee Bean Extract (50 mg)
Green coffee beans provide chlorogenic acid. It used to have a reputation as a thermogenic fat burner but there are doubts about its value in this area.
Green coffee bean extract became extremely popular after the American weight loss expert, Dr. Oz, endorsed it during one of his shows.
It later turned out the study that wowed Dr. Oz was bogus. It was retracted and is no longer available online.
(Further Reading: https://www.cbsnews.com/news/dr-oz-endorsed-green-coffee-bean-diet-study-retracted/)
However, although it’s doubtful chlorogenic acid will boost metabolism or thermogenesis, research shows it may prevent cravings by regulating blood sugar and insulin.
Chromium (100 mcg)
Chromium is another ingredient that’s good for regulating blood sugar and insulin. (https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/15208835/)
How to Use OstroVit Fat Burner for Women
The dose is two capsules, once per day and OstroVit makes it clear this dose should not be exceeded. The company also warns against using the product while pregnant or nursing a child and points out good results will require a commitment to diet and exercise. That’s great.
A lot of diet pill companies claim their products can do it alone. That’s hogwash. It’s always nice to see a company that’s not claiming to have created a magic pill.
If you are pregnant or nursing a child, please don’t take any kind of supplement without getting clearance from your doctor first.
If you have an existing medical condition of any kind at all, it would also be unwise to use supplements without checking with your doctor first.
Certain supplement ingredients can present interaction issues when combined with medication. It doesn’t matter if the medication has been prescribed by a doctor, a dentist, or another medical professional. If you are taking medication, don’t use it with supplements without asking a doctor first.

OstroVit Fat Burner for Women Customer Reviews
It’s hard to find customer feedback for this product. I couldn’t find any OstroVit Fat Burner for Women customer reviews written in English.
However, I found some reviews posted at an online supplement store in Greece.
Some customers were happy with the way the pills performed. Others did not like them at all.
Here’s a couple of comments from satisfied customers
Now here’s two from less impressed people.
Finally, here’s a review from a customer who reports initial progress but then began experiencing side effects and saw her weight loss stall after two months.
Note: Some of the reviews are worded a little strangely. This is because I translated them from Greek to English using Google Translate. The translations aren’t perfect but they provide a good indication of the kind of results former customers have experienced.
Does OstroVit Fat Burner for Women Cause Side Effects?
The comments some customers make in their reviews suggest side effects may be an issue for some people using this product.
If you decide to use this product, I suggest starting with one capsule per day instead of two. This will give you a chance to monitor for side effects and, if there are any unpleasant reactions, they may not be as severe as they would have been if you began with the normal dose.
Where to Buy OstroVit Fat Burner for Women
OstroVit Fat Burner for Women is available from online stores in many European countries. You can also buy it from the OstroVit website.
At the time of this review (September 2021), the OstroVit website was charging €6.75 for a 30-day supply of pills (60 capsules).
That’s cheap but the postage costs more than the pills. For instance, if you need the pills shipping to an address in Belgium, the postage cost is €8.61. If you live across the border in the Netherlands, it will cost you just over €11. It’s double that amount if you require shipping to Greece.
Although many third-party sites charge a lot more per bottle, some may offer cheaper shipping. So, if you are convinced OstroVit Fat Burner for Women is the right choice, it could be best to check some of the online supplement stores in your country.
OstroVit does not provide a money-back guarantee.
OstroVit Fat Burner for Women Review: Diet Pill Ninja Conclusion
As far as the price goes, it’s hard to find anything to grumble about. Even with the postage charges, OstroVit Fat Burner for Women is still a pretty cheap diet pill to buy.
However, although the formulation contains some credible ingredients like green tea and chromium, that will help boost metabolism and may help prevent cravings, it still does not compare well to some of the better alternatives.
The formulation could be greatly improved by adding some glucomannan to help keep unruly appetites under control.
Most women who are trying to lose weight struggle with hunger. OstroVit Fat Burner for Women is unlikely to help them to avoid it and succumb.
The relatively high caffeine content is also an issue, as are the ingredients that OstroVit to give the capsules their color.
Customer reviews suggest some women may find the supplement offers some degree of weight loss support but it’s a gamble because it also appears to have let a lot of women down. That’s a problem for a product that lacks a money-back guarantee.
If I were a woman looking for a good female fat burner, OstroVit Fat Burner for Women is not a supplement I would choose.
Leanbean: A Good Alternative to OstroVit Fat Burner for Women
Leanbean is a diet pill made in Britain. It costs a little more than OstroVit Fat Burner for Women but it’s genuinely tailored towards women and has a 90-day money-back guarantee.
Unlike OstroVit Fat Burner for Women, Leanbean places a strong emphasis on hunger control. The formulation has green coffee bean extract and chromium to help with cravings like OstroVit Fat Burner for Women does but each serving also has a full gram of glucomannan to control normal hunger as well.
Glucomannan is a highly absorbent fiber that can soak up 50 times its weight in water. As it hydrates, it expands and forms a gel that takes up room in the stomach and makes it feel full.
The EFSA has evaluated all the top studies and confirms glucomannan is an appetite suppressant that works. However, the EFSA states supplements need to provide 1 gram of glucomannan three times per day and should be taken before meals.
Lean bean provides the correct amount and the usage guidelines match those stated by the EFSA.
Leanbean does not contain any caffeine or other stimulants. It uses B Vitamins to boost energy instead. It also has ingredients that help control estrogen levels. This can be especially useful for tackling weight gain due to menopause.
If there’s a better diet pill for women, I’ve yet to encounter it. At the time of this review, Leanbean set the standard. Most alternatives are only alleged to be designed for women. Leanbean is the real deal.
