Probiotic Svelte is a probiotic diet pill that’s mainly distributed in France and is also available to buy online via a few online stores that target the UK.

I’m going to begin this review by admitting Probiotic Svelte does not impress me. As you continue to read, you will begin to understand why.

The fact that you’re reading this review suggests you may have already heard some of the claims people are making about Probiotic Svelte. If you have, you may be hoping to discover Probiotic Svelte is something very special. Unfortunately, I’m going to have to burst your bubble. This popular French diet pill is unlikely to do any of the things the sites pushing it are saying it will do.

But don’t worry. I’m going to end the review by suggesting a better alternative.

What Is Probiotic Svelte and How Does It Work?

Probiotic Svelte is a  diet tablet you take once each day. It’s been available via the official (French) website since 2018.

Most diet pills help you to lose weight by suppressing hunger and speeding up your metabolism to help you burn extra calories. They often provide weight loss support in additional ways as well.

Probiotic Svelte is not designed to do any of the things normal diet pills do.

It’s designed to make you thin by tweaking the status of your gut bacteria levels.

The Probiotic Svelte website states people who are overweight have a different profile of gut bacteria than slim people do. It makes a lot of other claims as well but does not provide links to scientific documentation that supports any of them.

The claim that research shows fat people and thin people have different probiotic bacteria profiles is true. I’m familiar with the study. It’s available online.

The researchers make it clear, altering the state of the gut microbiota can cause weight loss and weight gain, but this only happens in animals, not humans.

The researchers believe the changes in gut microbiota in humans are caused by obesity, not the cause of it. That means things work the other way around.

The study does not support any of the claims being made for Probiotic Svelte so it’s not surprising the website does not link to it.

Here’s a link so you can check out the details for yourself: https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/26474235/

Who Makes Probiotic Svelte?

The company behind Probiotic Svelte is called Bioperf SA. It’s a Swiss company based in Bogis Chavannels. It was founded in 2019. That suggests it may not be the company that created the product.

Bioperf SA also distributes several other supplements including a male potency booster called Sexual BiBang.

I was unable to find out much more about Bioperf SA, but the Probiotic Svelte website assures customers the product is made in France.

However, the site also promises customers a money-back guarantee. A guarantee is good. It gives people confidence. Unfortunately, I found reports made by French customers who state the company refused to honor the guarantee. Claims like that are very damaging to a company’s credibility.

Probiotic Svelte: The Promised Results

  • Continue to eat normal portions
  • No need to deprive yourself
  • No need for additional exercise

NOTE: The Probiotic Svelte marketing claims have been toned down a little lately. When the site first went online, it used to state people using the product could expect to lose 13 kg per month without diet and exercise. When you see manufacturers making outlandish claims like that it’s time to turn and run.

At the time of this review, the 13 kg claim is no longer on the Probiotic Svelte website, but it wouldn’t surprise me if it returns and the claim is still being made by some online stores.

Why You Shouldn’t Trust the Marketing Claims

There are many reasons why you should avoid Probiotic Svelte and, as a diet pill reviewer, it’s my job to help you see past all the lies and mistruths.

Let’s take a look at a couple of the most important ones.

Reason 1: Lack of Evidence

We’ve already covered this, there is a lack of scientific evidence to support using probiotic bacteria as a weight loss aid.

Some research shows certain Lactobacillus strains may contribute to weight loss but there is a need for further study and experts make it clear probiotics cannot take the place of diet and exercise. Yet, the Probiotic Svelte website says the opposite.

Reason 2: Untrustworthy Marketing Tactics

When manufacturers appear to be deceitful, you need to ask yourself if you trust them enough to give them your money.

Although the Probiotic Svelte website has changed a lot, the original version is available at the Internet Archive.

Unfortunately, unless you read French, you may find it difficult to understand but an online translator, such as Google Translate, can help.

In addition to stating Probiotic Svelte can support weight losses of 13 kg a month, there are a lot of other ridiculous claims. Too many to address here.

The original page links the product with Professeur Michel Julliard. I was unable to find out anything about this man so I checked some Probiotic Svelte reviews written in French. The people who wrote them found the same thing and doubt he exists. I doubt it too and I know the picture is false. It’s a stock image purchased from Adobe Stock photos.

Prof Michel Julliard? Nope! The Probiotic Svelte Website says it's him but it's really a stock photo purchased from Adobe.

Professeur Michel Julliard also turns up on a website marketing the GoSlimmer diet patch to Italians.

The GoSlimmer Diet Patch website is very similar to the Probiotic Svelte website. It has a lot of the same faces but the weight-loss claims are stated to be due to the patch instead of a probiotic diet pill.

These two girls turn up on the Probiotic Svelte website as the twins Carla and Jade. On the GoSlimmer Diet Patch website, they appear as Caterina and Chiara.

Is this Carla and Jade, who lost weight using a probiotic diet pill, or is it Caterina and Chiara, who did it with a diet patch? It depends on which site you go to.

We also have this guy, who lost his fat gut and got into pretty good shape in only 10 weeks. One site tells us he did by using GoSlimmer Diet patch, the other says his weight loss was due to Probiotic Svelte.

Did this guy lean-up using probiotic svelte or GoSlimmer Diet Patch? Enquiring minds want to know

As is often the case with weight loss products, there is a lot of questionable marketing going on.

Probiotic Svelte Ingredients

The tablets provide three popular probiotics you could get from eating a pot of yogurt. They also provide a little prebiotic fiber along with several binders and fillers.

Active Ingredients:

  • Lactobacillus Rhamnosus
  • Lactobacillus Acidophilus
  • Bifidobacterium Bifidum
  • Inulin
  • Fructooligosaccharides

Binders and Fillers: Microcrystalline Cellulose (Bulking Agent), Sorbitol (Sweetener), Magnesium Salts of Fatty Acids (Anti-Caking Agent)

Lactobacillus Rhamnosus

Lactobacillus rhamnosus is a popular probiotic you can get by eating kefir or probiotic yogurts. It’s also one of the most studied probiotic bacteria.

Among other things, Lactobacillus rhamnosus is good for restoring gut health after it has been disrupted by antibiotics. Lactobacillus rhamnosus also appears to be useful for controlling diarrhea.

Some research suggests Lactobacillus rhamnosus may suppress appetite too, especially in women.

Most people tolerate this probiotic well but some users may experience bloating or gas.

Further Information: https://www.healthline.com/nutrition/lactobacillus-rhamnosus

Lactobacillus Acidophilus

Another popular probiotic. Lactobacillus acidophilus is often used, both orally and topically, as a probiotic treatment for vaginal acidophilus. Some women even apply yogurt to their genitals as a home remedy.

It may also reduce the occurrences of eczema and respiratory infections in children.

Although side effects are unlikely, some people may find Lactobacillus acidophilus causes constipation, gas, bloating, and/or increased thirst.

Bifidobacterium Bifidum

Bifidobacterium bifidum is associated with several health benefits but may have the greatest potential as a treatment for irritable bowel syndrome (IBS).

The results of one study, involving 122 IBS patients, show treatment with Bifidobacterium bifidum produced significant improvements in symptoms and quality of life.

Again, you can get Bifidobacterium bifidum by eating probiotic yogurts and foods.

Inulin

Inulin is a prebiotic fiber that’s present in chicory roots and many other plants. The body cannot digest prebiotic fiber but it’s still beneficial because probiotic bacteria feed on it. This helps the bacteria to multiply.

Some people find inulin upsets their stomach but most people can enjoy its benefits without ill effect.

A few studies suggest inulin may help with weight loss but it’s not in the same class as popular natural fat burners like cayenne pepper and green tea.

Fructooligosaccharides

Fructooligosaccharides (FOS) are oligosaccharides that are naturally occurring in chicory, onion, garlic, and many other plant-based foods.

FOS are prebiotic so they are often added to prebiotic and probiotic supplements.

How to Use Probiotic Svelte

The dose is one tablet per day, taken with a large glass of water, 30 minutes before your main meal.

Bioperf SA states Probiotic Svelte is not a suitable option for women who are pregnant or nursing a child.

The company also makes it clear Probiotic Svelte contains milk derivatives. This statement probably relates to the two Lactobacillus probiotics. Their presence is only likely to be an issue for people who are lactose intolerant.

However, research suggests certain strains Lactobacillus strains may actually improve lactose intolerance.

Health Considerations

If you are pregnant or nursing a child, please don’t take any kind of supplement without getting clearance from your doctor first.

If you have an existing medical condition of any kind at all, it would also be unwise to use supplements without checking with your doctor first.

Certain supplement ingredients can present interaction issues when combined with medication. It doesn’t matter if the medication has been prescribed by a doctor, a dentist, or another medical professional. If you are taking medication, don’t use it with supplements without asking a doctor first.

Does Probiotic Svelte Have Honorable Customer Reviews?

The official site has a few reviews and most of them are good but it’s unwise to trust (alleged) feedback posted at such a biased source.

I did an extensive internet search but was only able to find two customer reviews. Both of them were from people who allege the supplement disappointed them. The reviewers also claim they had problems obtaining a refund under the Probiotic Svelte money-back guarantee.

Here are the reviews. Sorry the wording is a little peculiar but the only way to present them to you was to translate them via Google Translate and then take a screenshot.

Does Probiotic Svelte Cause Side Effects?

Probiotic Svelte is a natural supplement that most people should be able to use without side effects. However, many of the ingredients are known to cause side effects (mostly stomach-related) in a minority of individuals.

It’s also important to be aware probiotics are unsuitable for people whose immune system has been compromised by medications, surgery, or disease.

The Best Place to Buy Probiotic Svelte

If you live in France, it’s probably best to buy Probiotic Svelte via the official website but you may need the help of Google Translate if you can’t read French.

At the time of this review (August 2021), a 30-day supply of Probiotic Svelte cost around €35. That’s pretty cheap but there are shipping charges on top and even €1 is €1 too much if these chewy probiotic diet pills fail to deliver the goods.

If you are based in the UK, which seems probable because you have sought out a Probiotic Svelte review written in English, you have the option of buying Probiotic Svelte via a few online stores including easylife.co.uk and Wellform. Expect to pay around £25 (plus shipping) per bottle/box.

Probiotic Svelte Review: Diet Pill Ninja Conclusion

The Diet Pill Ninja: Honorable Diet Pill ReviewsIf you’ve read all of this review, rather than skimming to the end, you will know Probiotic Svelte does not impress me. You should also realize why.

Although the product is relatively cheap to buy, it’s unlikely to do any of the things it’s supposed to do and certainly won’t help you to lose 13 kg per month.

The offer of a money-back guarantee is likely to encourage some dieters to take a chance on Probiotic Svelte. Sadly, customer feedback suggests the manufacturer may not honor the guarantee and issue a refund to people who are disappointed by the way the product performs.

This is a supplement that provides a few strains of probiotic bacteria and some prebiotic fiber to help feed it. You could get the same bacteria from a yogurt.

Many foods you probably eat every day, such as onion, bananas, oats, apples, and wheat bran will provide a lot more prebiotic fiber than you will get from this Swiss-French probiotic diet pill.

If Probiotic Svelte works, why are the only independent reviews scathing instead of praising? More importantly, would a company that has developed a good prebiotic weight loss product need to use bogus photos to encourage people to buy it?

There are many reasons to avoid this product but I cannot think of a single one that would make it worth buying.

It would be nice if there were such things as magic weight loss pills but the world does not work that way. The only magic this one is likely to do is make your money disappear.

Phentaslim: A Good Alternative to Probiotic Svelte

Bottle Vegan-Friendly PhentaslimPhentaslim is a high-quality weight-loss pill produced by a reputable company and backed by a 60-day money-back guarantee.

Although it costs a little more than Probiotic Svelte, Phentaslim is still one of the cheapest (good) diet pills money can buy.

If you take advantage of multi-buy savings, you can get three boxes of Phentaslim for the price of two. That brings the cost per box down to even further making it an even cheaper diet pill to use.

However, if you have a lot of weight to lose, you may be better off grabbing the maximum savings by taking advantage of the chance to get 5 boex of Phentaslim for the price of 3.

Regardless of how many boxes you buy though, there are no extra charges for shipping.

Like Probiotic Svelte, Phentaslim is a diet pill you need to take once each day. It’s not a probiotic though. It provies a combination of nutrients and plant extracts that help you to lose weight without being held back by fatigue.
