Skinny Sprinkles is a weight loss supplement for people who are trying to escape the clutches of hunger. It’s a little different from most other appetite suppressants because it’s not a pill. Skinny Sprinkles is a hunger-suppressing powder you sprinkle into water and consume as a drink.

The main ingredient is glucomannan. It’s a water-soluble fiber that expands in the stomach to make it feel full.

Glucomannan is one of the best natural appetite suppressants in the world and Skinny Sprinkles provides one full gram per serving. Research shows that’s an effective dose.

However, there are plenty of other supplements that provide the same dose and most of them are considerably cheaper to use than Skinny Sprinkles.

Skinny Sprinkles is supplied in small one-dose paper sachets. Each box provides a 10-day supply and, if you don’t take advantage of bulk buy discounts, trying to lose weight with Skinny Sprinkles could cost around £75 per month. That’s expensive for a glucomannan weight loss product.

Although it’s quite a costly appetite suppressant to use, Skinny Sprinkles is pretty popular. Its popularity is largely due to celebrity endorsements that give it extra appeal and have allowed it to become a trendy product.

Kerry Katona and Lateysha Grace are just two of the celebrities that claim to use Skinny Sprinkles.

If you don’t mind paying more for a “trendy” product, that’s all well and good but there are cheaper options that do the same thing.

This review will give you a better understanding of Skinny Sprinkles and help you decide if it’s the right option for you.

How Does Skinny Sprinkles Work? (For Weight Loss)

Skinny Sprinkles is an appetite suppressing drink that fills the stomach to make it feel full. When you take it before your main meals, it should make it easier to eat smaller portions of food without feeling hungry or being tempted to snack between meals.

Most other glucomannan products can offer a similar level of support but Skinny Sprinkles also offers a few extra whistles and bells. One of the ingredients in the formulation helps the body metabolize fatty acids. There are some energy-boosting ingredients as well.

However, although Skinny Sprinkles is anything but a basic glucomannan product, it’s still arguable if the extra virtues it possesses are sufficient to justify the high price.

Things to Bear in Mind

Like other weight management products, Skinny Sprinkles is a supplement. It’s important to understand what a supplement is and never to see any product as a magic bullet.

The word “supplement” refers to something you get or use in addition to something else. For instance, Some people work two jobs to “supplement” their income.

Diet pills and other weight loss supplements, supplement the efforts you are already making by controlling your diet.

In this case, it’s important not to see Skinny Sprinkles as a product that provides an excuse not to try and eat healthy foods. The drinks will work best if you use them alongside a healthy diet that contains nutritious foods that are low in fat and sugar.

How Good is Skinny Sprinkles?

This part of the review evaluates the abilities of the ingredients in Skinny Sprinkles to provide you with a better idea of what the product should be able to do.

Glucomannan (1 gram)

This is the main ingredient and it’s a very good one too. Glucomannan is an ingredient taken from the roots of the konjac plant (Amorphophallus konjac). It’s native to several countries in Asia where it’s known by some interesting names including Voodoo lily, Devil’s tongue, and elephant yam. Supplement manufacturers in the west, only use the names glucomannan and konjac.

Before you can use konjac root, you need to reduce it to a powder. In Asia, the powder is often used as flour. It’s a key ingredient in fruit jellies and Shirataki noodles.

Glucomannan is incredibly absorbent. It can soak up 50 times its weight in water. It does this quite fast and, as the glucomannan fibers hydrate, they expand to form a gel that sits in the stomach, making it feel full. (Learn More About Glucomannan and Weight Loss)

Inulin (3.2 gram)

Inulin is a starchy compound that’s present in certain types of plants including onions, leeks, and asparagus. The inulin in supplements is generally sourced from chicory roots. It may help regulate blood sugar levels. By doing so, it has the potential to prevent the post-eating blood sugar fluctuations that trigger cravings for carbs and sugar.

Inulin is also a prebiotic fiber. The probiotic bacteria present in the gut eat it. This helps the bacteria to multiply so inulin is often present in supplements that aim to boost levels of probiotic bacteria.

Some people experience flatulence and minor gut issues when they are using inulin supplements for the first time. However, such side effects are generally only short-term and most people tolerate the ingredient well. (https://www.healthline.com/health/food-nutrition/top-inulin-benefits)

Green tea extract (50 mg)

Green tea is a popular fat-burning ingredient. A lot of diet pills provide it. The green tea catechins it provides increase calorie expenditure and fat burning by boosting metabolism and increasing thermogenesis. (https://academic.oup.com/ajcn/article/70/6/1040/4729179)

Caffeine Anhydrous (50 mg)

Caffeine is a versatile stimulant. It’s good for increasing energy and improving concentration. Research shows caffeine boosts fat loss as well but the results of one study suggest the fat burning effect of the stimulant may be greater for thinner individuals than it is for people who are obese. (https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/7485480/)

Caffeine also has the potential to cause jitters and other side effects. However, 50 mg is not a high dose. You would get around twice that amount by drinking a standard cup of coffee.

Nevertheless, if you are unusually sensitive to caffeine, Skinny Sprinkles may not be a good weight management supplement to choose.

Vitamin C (27 mg) + Vitamin B3 (5.3 mg)

Vitamins C and B3 are both water-soluble vitamins that serve many purposes in the body and are essential for good health. eBeauty Limited says it included them to work alongside caffeine to help prevent diet-related fatigue. Both vitamins have this ability so they are viable inclusions.

Among other things, Vitamin C also aids collagen production, boosts immune function, and, in its role as an antioxidant, helps rid the body of free radical toxins. (https://www.healthline.com/nutrition/vitamin-c-deficiency-symptoms)

Vitamin B3 is also known as niacin. It’s often used as an energy drink ingredient because it helps the body extract energy from food. This is a trait all B Vitamins share.

Manganese (0.67 mg)

Manganese is included in the Skinny Sprinkles formulation to aid the metabolism of fatty acids. It should be able to do this and its ability to help regulate blood glucose levels may make it a doubly valuable inclusion. (https://www.healthline.com/nutrition/manganese-benefits)

How to Use Skinny Sprinkles

Although Skinny Sprinkles is not as convenient to use as diet pills are, there isn’t too much fuss involved. To make the drink, all you need to do is rip open a sachet and sprinkle the contents into a glass that contains 200 ml of water.

Then you stir the mixture until all the powder is dissolved, leave the glass to stand for 1-2 minutes to develop the correct consistency and then drink it.

If you want a thicker drink, you can allow the mixture to stand a little longer but beware of leaving it too long or it will become too thick to drink.

The dose is three sachets/drinks per day. You need to prepare the drink and drink it 30 minutes before each of your three main meals of the day (breakfast, lunch, dinner). This gives the mixture plenty of time to thicken and take up room in your stomach.

Important Health Considerations

If you are pregnant or nursing a child, it would be unwise to use Skinny Sprinkles without getting clearance from your doctor first.

If you have an existing medical condition of any kind at all, it‘s also a good idea not to use Skinny Sprinkles without getting clearance from your doctor.

Some supplement ingredients can present interaction issues when combined with medication. It doesn’t matter if the medication has been prescribed by a doctor, a dentist, or another medical professional, don’t take any chances. Check with your doctor to make sure Skinny Sprinkles won’t interfere with the way your medication works.

Does Skinny Sprinkles Have Honorable Customer Reviews?

Customer reviews presented on the Skinny Sprinkles website are incredibly good. A lot of women are saying how well the sprinkles work. However, manufacturers’ websites have to be seen as a biased source. They exist to make people buy products, not to put them off.

Fortunately, Amazon and TrustPilot have plenty of customer reviews as well.

Most of the TrustPilot reviews are good but the Amazon star rating shows the product has failed to impress many of the Amazon customers who took the time to leave a Skinny Sprinkles review.

Does Skinny Sprinkles Cause Side Effects?

Headache

Some customers mention side effects in their reviews. Most of the side effects customers report are stomach-related and range from feelings of nausea to vomiting, stomach pain, and intestinal cramps.

Headaches appear to be an issue for a minority of users as well.

The stomach-related side effects may be attributable to inulin. Although glucomannan is the key ingredient in Skinny Sprinkles, there is more than three times as much inulin in every drink (1 gram glucomannan vs. 3.2 grams inulin).

Although most people tolerate inulin well, the chances of side effects increase with the size of the dose, and intestinal discomfort is one of the most commonly reported inulin side effects.

It’s possible the customers who say Skinny Sprinkles gave them headaches may have been overly sensitive to the caffeine that’s present in the formulation. Headaches are a common reaction to caffeine. However, there is only 50 mg per drink. You could get double that amount from a single cup of coffee. Most people should be okay with 50 mg of caffeine but, if you are unusually sensitive to stimulants, Skinny Sprinkles may not be the best glucomannan supplement to use.

The Best Place to Buy Skinny Sprinkles

If you live outside the UK, you will probably be only able to obtain Skinny Sprinkles via the official website. If you live in the UK, you should also have the option of getting your sprinkles via Amazon.co.uk.

At the time of this review, Skinny Sprinkles cost £24.99 per box with additional shipping charges. The shipping costs were waived for customers living in the UK.

Each box only supplies enough sprinkles to last for 10 days but the manufacturer offers discounts when customers order two boxes instead of one. At the time of this review, it was possible to buy two boxes of Skinny Sprinkles for £34.98. That’s a saving of £15.

The Skinny Sprinkles Guarantee

The first time I reviewed Skinny Sprinkles was a couple of years ago, for a client’s review site. At that time, there was no money-back guarantee.

When I visited the Skinny Sprinkles website to do some checks for this review, I was surprised to see the manufacturer is offering a 60-day money-back guarantee. However, the guarantee was only valid if customers bought their Skinny Sprinkles between 09.00 BST on 1st January 2021 to 23.59 BST on 31st March 2021. I presume this guarantee window will be updated later but it’s equally possible the guarantee may be scrapped.

It wasn’t just the date range that was an issue. The guarantee was only present for people who bought two boxes instead of one and attempted the Skinny Sprinkles 20-Day Challenge:

  1. Take Skinny Sprinkles 30 minutes before each meal
  2. Follow a low-calorie diet
  3. See results or get your money back

That sounds okay, but any refunds will be minus a £4 handling fee. eBeauty Limited also states customers have to return both empty boxes via a traceable delivery service. Needless to say, paying for tracking is going to cause customers additional expense.

Skinny Sprinkles Review: Diet Pill Ninja Conclusion

The Diet Pill Ninja: Honorable Diet Pill ReviewsSkinny Sprinkles is primarily a supplement that aims to control hunger. Each drink provides a full gram of glucomannan and you take three drinks per day, 30 minutes before meals. The EFSA confirms, this is an effective dose and dosing regimen so, if hunger is holding you back, Skinny Sprinkles should help you stick to your diet and lose weight.

But some customers say Skinny Sprinkles does not work. How can this be? It’s possible the people saying this were not making the necessary commitment to low-calorie living or failing to mix the drink with the correct amount of water.

Glucomannan needs water to work. If you don’t provide enough of it the fibers will not be able to fully hydrate. Taking glucomannan products with insufficient water also has the potential to cause constipation.

Skinny Sprinkles is an okay product that should do what it says on the tin but it’s expensive for what it is and does not compare well to some of the alternatives.

Suggested Alternative – Evolution Slimming Glucomannan Plus

Glucomannan Plus Appetite Suppressing CapsulesEach dose of Glucomannan Plus provides 1 gram of glucomannan and, like Skinny Sprinkles, it has green tea to increase fat burning. However, at 100 g per dose, Glucomannan Plus has double the potency.

Glucomannan Plus also has a little chromium to regulate blood sugar and prevent cravings. It could be seen as being a slightly simpler formulation but, without inulin or caffeine, side effects are unlikely to be an issue.

As with Skinny Sprinkles, each box of Glucomannan Plus provides enough doses to last for 10 days. However, When you buy direct from Evolution Slimming, a 30-day supply of Glucomannan Plus (3 boxes) only costs £24.99. That’s the same as a 10-day supply of Skinny Sprinkles (price comparison correct at the time of this review).

Is Glucomannan Plus trendy? No. Is it recommended by TV stars? No, it’s not but it’s better value for money and 100% Ninja recommended.
