XLS Kilo Control is a supplement manufactured in Europe by Perrigo. It’s sold under the XLS Medical brand name. As with all XLS Medical products, Kilo Control is a calorie blocker.

There are two types of calorie blocking supplements: fat blockers + carb blockers. There are also hybrid products that aim to restrict both types of nutrients. XLS Kilo Control is a carb blocker.

I going to begin this review by pointing out XLS Medical does not market Kilo Control as a diet pill.

Diet pills are designed to assist the efforts you make with diet and exercise. XLS Kilo Control is marketed towards men and women who are looking for a cheat pill.

XLS Medical makes it clear, its Kilo control tablets are meant to be the perfect solution for those “expected or unexpected moments” where you break from your healthy routine.

People who are serious about losing weight don’t sway from their healthy routine or try to cheat. I don’t like products that are marketed this way and could never recommend XLS Kilo Control. I only recommend useful products that people can use alongside their diet to help them to lose weight. I’ll suggest some alternatives at the end of the review.

How Does XLS Kilo Control Work?

XLS Kilo Control is a carb blocker. As with most carb blockers, the key ingredient is white kidney bean extract (Phaseolus Vulgaris).

Most of the sites that have English translations say Phaseolus Vulgaris is the common bean. This is a problem in translation that may lead to confusion. Although Phaseolus Vulgaris is also referred to as common bean, British and American manufacturers always refer to it as white kidney bean.

Phaseolus Vulgaris provides a compound that inhibits the digestive enzyme amylase. It’s the enzyme responsible for digesting carbohydrates.

There are four calories per gram of carbohydrate so eating a lot of high-carb foods such as breads, rice, pasta, and potatoes can really pile on the pounds. That’s why sensible dieters try to avoid eating too many high-carb foods.

By reducing the activity of amylase, Phaseolus Vulgaris causes a percentage of ingested carbohydrate to pass through the digestive organs untouched. The undigested portion is unable to deliver any calories to the body. To put it in simple terms, you will poop away the calories you were unable to digest.

When you use a carb-blocker alongside a low-calorie diet, it may speed up your progress by reducing your overall calorie intake.

However, most good carb blockers only reduce carb enzyme activity by 50-65 percent. That may sound good in theory but research suggests the body adapts to the situation meaning that 93% of the calories still get through.

Even if you are on a strict diet, the level of benefit a carb blocker may offer is pretty small. If you are overindulging in carbs and using your blocker as a cheat pill, you are still likely to get a surplus of calories for your body to store as fat.

There’s no use going over old ground here. Phaseolus Vulgaris may support minor improvements in weight loss if you use it alongside a low-calorie diet. If you use it as a cheat pill, it’s probably going to offer no value at all.

However, one gram should be an effective dose.

Potassium Chloride (100 mg)

I was surprised to see this ingredient. In all my years as a reviewer, I’ve never encountered it in a supplement before. I did some checks and discovered preliminary research, from Israel, suggests potassium chloride may support improvements in fat reduction when used alongside a strict diet. However, there’s a need for further, in-depth study.

Chicory Root Extract (50 mg)

Chicory root provides prebiotic fiber. The probiotic bacteria that live in your gut, feed on this type of fiber, so chicory root supplements can boost probiotic bacteria levels. This may provide many benefits including better mineral absorption and improvements in gut health.

Some research suggests chicory root may also suppress appetite by decreasing levels of ghrelin (hunger hormone).

Chromium Picolinate (13.2 µg)

Chromium is a mineral. Doctors sometimes use it to treat diabetes because it improves insulin resistance and blood glucose control.

Diet pill manufacturers often add chromium to their products because it may prevent carb and sugar cravings. Although there are other ingredients that provide chromium, most manufacturers choose chromium picolinate because it’s the easiest to absorb.

Carb and sugar cravings are different from normal hunger urges. They generally occur after you’ve eaten and your stomach is full.

After a meal, the blood sugar level rises. If it becomes too high, the pancreas responds by emitting insulin. This brings the blood sugar level back down. If it drops too low (crashes), the brain gives you cravings for high-calorie food.

Some research suggests chromium may also help reduce normal hunger by directly acting on the brain. However, the dose provided by two Kilo Control tablets may be too low to produce favorable effects.

How to Use XLS Kilo Control

XLS Kilo Control is designed to be used on an as and when required basis. You don’t take it unless you are planning on eating a large meal. That tells you everything you need to know about the product. XLS Kilo Control is a cheat pill, not a product for people who have made a commitment to losing weight.

The dose is two tablets, taken with water. You take them during or immediately after eating your large meal. The maximum dose is six tablets per day.

If you are pregnant or nursing a child, please don’t take any kind of supplement without getting clearance from your doctor first.

If you have an existing medical condition of any kind at all, it would also be unwise to use supplements without checking with your doctor first.

Certain supplement ingredients can present interaction issues when combined with medication. It doesn’t matter if the medication has been prescribed by a doctor, a dentist, or another medical professional. If you are taking medication, don’t use it with supplements without getting prior medical approval.

Many of the online stores that sell XLS Kilo Control have a comments section for customers to leave feedback. Unfortunately, it appears to be all quiet on the western front. I couldn’t find any customer reviews at all.

Does XLS Kilo Control Cause Side Effects?

The ingredients in XLS Kilo Control are unlikely to cause side effects, but the way carb blockers work has the potential to cause stomach issues.

Carb blockers cause undigested carbohydrates to pass through the lower intestines. This can be fermented by the bacteria present in the gut, leading to a build-up of intestinal gas.

Some people who use carb blockers may experience diarrhea as well.

The Best Place to Buy XLS Kilo Control

XLS Kilo Control doesn’t appear to have any UK distributors. If you live in England, Scotland, Wales, or Ireland; your only option will be to buy XLS Kilo Control via a European online store. Most of the online stores that target Britain are based in France or Spain.

Lafarmaciaonline.com and Cocooncenter.co.uk are a couple of good options. Both sites ship European diet pills to addresses all over the world. However, unless your currency is the Euro, Cocooncenter is probably the best option because the site allows you to pay in your home currency and avoid unnecessary foreign transaction fees.

At the time of this review (April 2021), it was possible to buy a bottle (30 tablets) of XLS Kilo Control for just under £20.

XLS Medical also produces a 10-tablet version of Kilo Control. Instead of a bottle, the tablets are put in a blister pack and sold by the box.

Many suppliers don’t stock the smaller option because it’s not so popular. That’s not surprising. It costs around £9.50. Paying 95 pence per tablet is not a smart move. The bottle is a little over double the cost but you are only paying around 66 pence per tablet.

However, if you are serious about losing weight, you’d be better off ditching the idea of using cheat pills and focusing on eating healthy foods in sensibly-sized portions. If you need help to control hunger or to speed up your fat loss, there are some very good diet pills that can help. I provide a couple of suggestions at the end of this review.

Additional Information

XLS Medical produces several calorie blockers. Most of the options are readily available in the UK and bear labels and instructions written in English. Perrigo does not appear to be interested in selling XLS Kilo Control to the UK market or any other market outside of Europe.

So, although some European online pharmacies operate sites that cater to UK customers, the labels and instructions will not be in English. Depending on which supplier you choose, the language is likely to be French, Spanish, Dutch, or certain other European languages.

XLS Kilo Control Review: Diet Pill Ninja Conclusion

XLS Kilo Control is a supplement that’s primarily aimed at people who are looking for a cheat pill. Ever hear the phrase “Cheaters never win?” It’s true.

If you use a product like this hoping to eat your fill of carbs without paying the price, you are going to be sadly disappointed.

Some people will tell you there is nothing wrong with “cheat meals” and “cheat days.” Those people are wrong. Apart from anything else, this type of cheating weakens resolve. If you want to lose weight and keep it off, you need to learn to leave behind your old bad habits.

Having said that, everything is fine in moderation. You can still indulge in carbs. Just don’t overindulge. Products like XLS Kilo Control encourage people to overindulge because they are sold on the back of the promise they will allow you to still lose weight even though you have eaten a heavy meal.

The best you could hope for is to go two steps forward and one step back. If you want to get slim and stay slim, eat healthy meals in sensible portions and stick to your guns. There is no easy way out.

Earlier in this review, I promised to provide a couple of good supplement options. I’m going to do that now but I won’t be recommending any brand of carb blocker. None of them offer a decent level of weight loss support.

If you are genuinely looking for a cheat pill, keep looking. Sooner or later you will realize the only person you are cheating is yourself.

However, if you are serious about losing weight, all you really need is a sensible diet. Get more exercise as well, if you can. That will speed things up.
